1. A police officer is listed in serious condition at Methodist hospital this morning after a near collision between an unknown small compact vehicle. Around 3:30 a.m. this morning the officer was responding to a hold up on Indy’s eastside at 46th Shadeland when an unknown vehicle swerved in front of the patrol car causing the officer to slam into a nearby sign. The officer sustained serious injuries. Intentions of the small compact are still unknown at this time.
2. On I-65 this morning 2 Semi’s were involved in a fatal crash leaving one semi completely on its side. This occurred Friday morning on highway I-65 in the southbound lanes. Reportedly one driver swerved to miss a deer then lost control causing the semi to flip. Apparently the second driver crashed directly into the other within seconds of each other.

In a similar story a former Head Start teacher has been charged with criminal confinement of a minor. Allegations allege the former teacher ducked taped the wrists of a child who was reportedly misbehaving. Marion County Prosecutor charged 47-year-old Darrell Johnson and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. A witness inside Head Start admitted to seeing Johnson remove duck tape from a child’s wrist. The Head Start is located in the IPS school #75 building.
