What is poverty?
A person who lacks material possessions or money. Someone who lacks basic human needs.
With over 46 million people living in poverty in the United States
Indiana has learned how close to home that number is.
Indiana was ranked 15th among the Nation.
The poverty rankings were released on Tuesday by the Census Bureau.
According to the Bureau, Indiana’s poverty rose from 16.1% in 2009 to 16.3% in 2010.
